Plagiarism Policy
The African Journal of Multidisciplinary Research and Reviews (AJOMR) maintains a strict plagiarism policy to ensure the originality, credibility, and integrity of all published research. The journal aligns its practices with internationally recognized standards, including guidelines similar to those of the Higher Education Commission (HEC).
Plagiarism Screening
All submitted manuscripts are subjected to plagiarism detection using advanced similarity-checking software prior to peer review.
Acceptable Limits
- Overall similarity must not exceed 15–18%
- Similarity from any single source must not exceed 5%
- Manuscripts showing excessive overlap or duplication will not be considered for publication
AI-Generated Content
- The use of AI tools must be properly disclosed by authors
- Manuscripts with significant undeclared AI-generated content (generally above 5%) may be rejected
- Authors remain fully responsible for the originality, accuracy, and integrity of their work
Author Responsibilities
Authors must ensure that:
- Their work is entirely original
- All sources are properly cited and referenced
- Quoted or reused content is clearly indicated
- The manuscript is not under consideration elsewhere
Actions on Plagiarism
If plagiarism is detected:
- Manuscripts may be rejected immediately
- Authors may be asked to revise and resubmit (in minor cases)
- Severe cases may lead to blacklisting of authors or notification to affiliated institutions
